Common use of Care of Loam Clause in Contracts

Care of Loam. Wherever work in easements is to be done, the Contractor shall first scrape all loam to one side so that it will not become mixed with the roadway or other excavation materials. After the construction work is completed, the loam shall be re-spread upon the land. No loam shall be taken away from the easements, and if the existing loam is of an insufficient amount, the Contractor at his own expense, shall furnish and spread loam to a minimum compacted thickness of 6 in.
