Carpet Vacuuming. Carpet vacuuming shall thoroughly remove all airborne soil and dry dirt from it. Dry or loose dirt includes sand, grit, dust, cigarette ashes, and other types of non-adhesive soils. Supplier must change vacuum bags regularly or repair/replace defective vacuum equipment to ensure maximum performance of the equipment. Movable furniture and equipment shall be moved during vacuuming and then properly replaced. Entry mats shall be included in this section.
Carpet Vacuuming. The use of a power vacuum cleaner to remove all dirt, small debris, soil, and litter from carpeted surfaces. All chairs, trash receptacles and easily moveable items shall be moved to vacuum underneath. Must use hose vacuum for edges, corners and tight areas. Shampoo carpeting using wet extraction machine method or dry encapsulation carpet cleaning method.
Carpet Vacuuming. Vacuum all rugs and wall-to-wall carpeting in all areas unobstructed by furniture. Chairs should be moved from desks and conference room tables, and then returned to their original position after completion vacuuming. Carpets are to be spot cleaned as needed. Oriental rugs should be carpet swept (no vacuuming) nightly. · Sweep all wood, vinyl, tile, rubber and similar types of flooring using an approved chemically treated cloth or dust mop. Wet mop if spillage has occurred. NO stains, dirt, streaks or dust should be present at the start of the business day.
