Category Changes - Salary Level Adjustment. 9.10.01 For elementary school Teachers the QECO Certification Statement endorsed with a category rating is the document accepted by the Board for the purpose of making salary level adjustments. 9.10.02 Upon receipt of a QECO Certification Statement, a Teacher shall be paid retroactively to the first day worked at the salary level appropriate to the higher category rating. Notwithstanding the foregoing, retroactive adjustments shall not be made beyond one school year worked. In situations where the QECO rating is subject to appeal procedures, timelines shall be extended to accommodate the appeal process, subject to an October 31 of the following year deadline.
