Causes Beyond the Control of Contractor. If such delay is not the fault of the Owner, but is the result of causes beyond the control of Contractor, then the Date of Substantial Completion only shall be adjusted by change order for such reasonable time as the Owner and Contractor agree upon.

  • Causes Beyond Control Neither party of this contract shall be held responsible for delay or default caused by fire, riot, acts of God, sovereign, public enemy, and/or war which is beyond that party's control. The STATE may terminate this contract upon written notice after determining such delay or default will reasonably prevent successful performance of the contract. Contractor agrees to rent/sell/lease all goods and services to the County or other governmental entities as opposed to a private citizen, on a first priority basis. The County expects to pay contractual prices for all goods or services required during an emergency situation. Contractor shall furnish a twenty-four (24) hour phone number in the event of such an emergency.
