Common use of CEQA Lead Agency Designation Clause in Contracts

CEQA Lead Agency Designation. Consistent with that Memorandum of Understanding approved by TAMC on September 27, 2017, the Parties confirm that for purposes of compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), Public Resources Code section 21000, et. seq., for environmental review of the FORTAG proposal, that TAMC is the lead agency, and all other Parties are responsible agencies. Prior to taking action to approve this Agreement and any FORTAG segment within its jurisdiction, each Underlying Jurisdiction shall certify that it has complied with the appropriate provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act as required by law.
