Common use of Changes in Positions Clause in Contracts

Changes in Positions. Where the Union contends an employee is incorrectly classified or when a position not covered in Schedule "A" is established during the term of this Agreement, the rate of pay shall be subject to negotiation. If the parties are unable to agree on the new position and/or rate of pay of the job in question, such dispute shall be submitted to grievance and arbitration. The new rate shall be retroactive to the date of submission of the reclassification.
