Common use of Changes to FIRM's Services Clause in Contracts

Changes to FIRM's Services. The City Engineer may order changes in the services to be performed by FIRM pursuant to this Agreement, consisting either of additions, deletions, or other modifications to the services. All changes will be ordered by a written notice executed by the City Engineer. In addition to describing the changes to FIRM’s services, the notice will set forth an extension of the term of this Agreement and/or the time to perform one or more Project tasks required by this Agreement if necessary to complete any additional or modified services and will include any adjustment to the compensation to be paid to FIRM resulting from the changed services. Where the changes required by the notice result in adjustment in the amount of compensation to be paid to FIRM that increases the amount of such compensation in the manner authorized by Section 6(b) of this Agreement, the notice must be approved by the City Director of Public Works.
