Common use of CHC-MCO Outreach Materials Clause in Contracts

CHC-MCO Outreach Materials. The CHC-MCO must develop outreach materials such as pamphlets and brochures to be used by the IEB to assist Potential Participants and Participants in choosing a CHC-MCO and PCP. The CHC-MCO must develop such materials in the form and content required by the Department. The Department must approve such materials in writing prior to their use. The Department's review will be conducted within thirty (30) calendar days and approval will not be unreasonably withheld. The CHC-MCO must develop outreach materials, including the Participant Handbook, and other Participant materials which are accessible, easily understood, written at not more than a sixth (6th) grade reading level and comply with the other requirements in 42 C.F.R. § 438.10 pertaining to information requirements. The CHC-MCO is prohibited from distributing, directly or through an agent or independent contractor, outreach materials without advance written approval of the Department.
