Common use of Check and Signature Verification Clause in Contracts

Check and Signature Verification. It is your duty to review your Account activity and to let us know promptly of unauthorized entries or multiple Postings of the same Item. Check processing is highly automated and we may not look at each Check that is presented to us for payment from your Account. Although we may review Checks visually from time to time, you agree that reasonable commercial standards do not require us to do so. We have no duty to prevent a Check from being presented more than once, unless a valid stop payment order has been placed on the Check. If the numeric amount on a Check does not match the amount written out in words, we pay on the amount written out in words.
