ChemoCentryx Diligence. The common objective of the Parties is to identify and develop at least four (4) and up to a maximum of six (6) Option Compounds (and their Back-Up Compounds) for Development and commercialization in the Territory under the terms of this Agreement. ChemoCentryx shall at all times use its Diligent Efforts to carry out and conduct the Research Program for each Collaboration Target in accordance with the Research Plan, and each Early Development Program for each Development Candidate or its Backup Compound in accordance with the relevant Early Development Plan. To that end, ChemoCentryx shall dedicate to the Research Program and to each Early Development Program appropriate resources and allocate personnel with an appropriate level of education, experience and training in order to achieve the objectives of this Agreement efficiently and expeditiously, which resources and personnel shall be consistent with the requirements of the Research Plan and of the Early Development Programs/Plan and shall be consistent always with the standard under this Agreement applicable to ChemoCentryx for its Diligent Efforts.
