Cheques, Cash, Credit Cards and Credit Account Authority. When an employee is authorized to cash cheques, handle cash, honour credit cards or credit accounts, he/she will not be held responsible for any losses provided he/she has followed management's instructions; but where an employee assumes responsibility of cashing cheques, handling cash, honouring credit cards or credit accounts without such authorization from management, he/she may be subject to discipline. No employee shall be disciplined for shortages unless the employee has sole access to the cash.
