Chorus Auditions Sample Clauses
The 'Chorus Auditions' clause establishes the procedures and requirements for selecting members of a chorus through an audition process. It typically outlines who is eligible to audition, the criteria or standards used for evaluation, and the timeline or format of the auditions, such as live performances or submitted recordings. Chorus Auditions. For Chorus auditions, actors shall be given the opportunity to audition in their principal skill of either dance or singing.

(1) For productions utilizing chorus, there shall be chorus auditions open to all performers. The following conditions shall apply:
(a) Among the auditions held for chorus performers, there shall be auditions for Equity performers.
(b) The Theatre is under no obligation to hire any person pursuant to any chorus audition procedure including the procedure for Equity performers set forth below.
Chorus Auditions a) For all productions with a Chorus, the Producer will be required to hold an Equity Chorus Call (ECC) in accordance with this rule.
b) An ECC is defined as calls where singers and dancers are auditioned in separate groups as singers and dancers. There will be two calls for singers and two calls for dancers held at the theater or local space. Each call will be no less than two hours.
c) When a Producer is required to hold an EPA outside of the local area for a production with a Chorus, the Producer will also hold an ECC in accordance with ECC procedures.
d) The Producer will not require a Chorus performer to attend both the singer and dancer calls in order to be considered for the production.
e) The Producer will not under any circumstances halt the continued progress of a Chorus Audition to audition a performer for a principal role.
Chorus Auditions a. MANAGEMENT shall provide AGMA with written notice of Chorus Auditions thirty (30) days prior to the commencement of auditions.
b. The audition notice shall include a tentative rehearsal schedule.
c. A Chorus information sheet, developed jointly by MANAGEMENT and AGMA, shall be made available as a handout at auditions. The information sheet shall contain the Group I and Group II rates and descriptions, and shall notify auditioners that wages, terms and conditions of employment are governed by a collective bargaining agreement between Washington National Opera and the American Guild of Musical Artists. It shall also provide the name and number of the AGMA Staff Representatives.
d. An “audition” schedule of rehearsals for each opera, including first musical rehearsal, first staging rehearsal and performances shall be distributed at Chorus Auditions. At this time CHORISTER will indicate any conflicts.
