Common use of Claims against Predecessors Clause in Contracts

Claims against Predecessors. Nothing in this Section 20 affects the right of a Party to seek contribution from or otherwise make claims against any Predecessor with respect to environmental Liabilities arising from an event prior to such Party’s acquisition of its Ownership Interest, provided that any Party seeking such contribution is not relieved of its obligation to pay any amounts it owes under this Section 20.
