Claims under California Law. Executive understands and agrees that the complete release in paragraph 4 above also includes claims made under the California Fair Employment and Housing Act and California Labor Code Section 970-972, etc. Executive expressly waives all the rights and benefits of Section 1542 of the California Civil Code, which section reads as follows: A general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release, which if known by him or her must have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor.
