Classification, Rules and Regulations. (a) The VESSEL including its machinery, equipment and outfittings shall be built in compliance with the rules and regulations of Det Norske Veritas (hereinafter called the “CLASSIFICATION SOCIETY”), in force as of the date of this CONTRACT, to be classed and registered as +1A, CONTAINER CARRIER, EO, BIS, TMON, NAUTICUS (NEWBUILDING) and also to comply with the rules and regulations, in force as of the date of this CONTRACT, as described in the SPECIFICATIONS. Provided that the BUILDER shall have an option to declare the CLASSIIFICATION SOCIETY as either equivalent Xxxxx Register of Shipping or Det Norske Veritas within three (3) month after signing of this CONTRACT.
