Coaching Certification. All Head Coaches are required to have Development 1 and Assistant Coaches are required to have Coach 2 certification. The deadline to complete coach courses is December 15th. One bench staff from each team must also be certified at the Hockey University online safety course by December 15th, if not, the team will be ineligible for all games, practices and sanctioned activities. All volunteers will be required to take the online Respect in Sport course, as well a Criminal Record Check. Completion of ‘A Coach’s Guide to the NBIAA’ course is mandatory for all registered members on the coaching staff prior to the beginning of the season, see O.R. 13.
Coaching Certification. All coaches must meet coaching certification in accordance with the currentGames Team Technical Package”. i. Head and Assistant Coach(es) on the official registration form must be Competition Stream – Development Context (Certified status) under the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) in Softball no later than February 7, 2025. (no later than 180 days prior to the Opening Ceremony). Respect in Sport is also a mandatory Program that must be completed. ii. Manager - The Manager cannot be a base coach unless they are Competition-Development Certified in Softball under the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). Any Manager wishing to be a base coach during the competition must present their NCCP Competition-Development certification to the Technical Representative and Head Umpire at the Coach/Manager meeting prior to the start of competition.
