Collection Account Clause Samples
A Collection Account clause establishes a designated bank account where payments, receivables, or other funds related to a contract are deposited and managed. Typically, this account is controlled by a trustee, agent, or lender, and all relevant parties are required to direct specified payments into it. For example, in a loan agreement, borrower payments or proceeds from collateral may be funneled into the collection account before being distributed according to the contract's terms. The core function of this clause is to centralize and safeguard funds, ensuring transparency and proper allocation, and reducing the risk of misappropriation or missed payments.
