Commitment and Objectives. 2.1 The parties believe that harmonious industrial relations is of common interest to all stakeholders. The parties agree to work in a spirit of cooperation and industrial harmony to ensure the success of the Victorian Desalination Project.
2.2 The parties are committed to working together in a collaborative and cooperative partnership to ensure a smooth delivery of the Victorian Desalination Project.
2.3 The parties recognise the bona fides and positive relationships already established between the parties, which augur well for a cooperative and successful delivery of the Project to the Victorian community.
2.4 The parties to this Agreement recognise that the delivery of a fully operational desalination plant to the people of Victoria on or before December 2011 is essential for the securing of water supply to the Victorian community. TD has been contracted by AquaSure to undertake the work for the construction of a desalination plant at Wonthaggi and its necessary associated and ancillary infrastructure in the State of Victoria. The parties each commit to achieve this outcome.
2.5 The objectives of this Agreement are:
(a) To aim for the highest level of occupational health and safety standards;
(b) To achieve the on time delivery of a fully operational desalination plant and all of its necessary associated and ancillary infrastructure by December 2011;
(c) To develop and maintain best practice in the delivery of major infrastructure projects;
(d) To demonstrate and deliver constructive work practices;
(e) To achieve and maintain employee commitment to the delivery of the project in a safe and efficient manner;
(f) To facilitate and develop employee skills and assist in transitioning to further employment opportunities following completion of the project;
(g) To support and value the achievement of an appropriate work/life balance while meeting the challenge of delivering the project on time;
(h) To achieve and sustain a positive impact on the local community by:
(i) Maximising the use and development of local skills and resources; and
(ii) Maximising employment opportunities for local residents; and
(iii) Minimising any negative impacts on the local environment; and
(iv) Maximising opportunities for employment and skill development of local indigenous communities.

The City of Dreams Project will be a fully integrated, world-class resort, designed and built at the highest international standards. Quality and guest experience will ultimately be the distinguishing features that separate the City of Dreams Project from the competition.
Commitment and Objectives. 7.1 The Parties are committed to ensuring that the Agreement leads to:
(a) real gains in productivity and workplace efficiencies;
(b) high standards of health and safety;
(c) a career structure for all Employees based on skills and competencies and the contribution they make to the Company's performance;
(d) high quality work and client satisfaction through good communication, teamwork and effective performance of work; and
(e) elimination of lost time due to industrial action or controllable absenteeism.
7.2 In addition the Company recognises that repeat employment provides benefits to the Employees and the Company such as:
(a) gaining experience;
(b) development of skills and embarking on a career path; and
(c) better communication and understanding between Management and Employees.
