Committee of officials. A1.12 A Committee of officials from the UK Government and the devolved administrations will shadow the Joint Ministerial Committee and prepare for its meetings. It will consist of at least one representative from each administration, and, as appropriate, a representative of the Secretaries of State for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Representatives of other Whitehall Departments will be invited to attend as appropriate when issues relevant to their areas of responsibility are to be discussed. The chairman of the Committee will be the Cabinet Secretary (or his representative) and the JMC Secretariat will provide secretarial facilities.
