Communication Center Operations. Director shall be hired by Wilbraham, whose primary responsibility shall be the management of the Communications Center. The Dispatch Director shall have decision-making authority regarding all matters involving the day-to-day operation of the Communication Center. The Dispatch Director and the Executive Board (defined below) shall develop written procedures governing operation of the Communication Center with respect to the deployment of emergency services in each Town. Reasonable efforts shall be made for uniformity in the procedures. The Dispatch Director shall ensure that procedures are followed by the Communication Center. In the event of a failure of the Communication Center’s communications network or the PSAP, the Dispatch Director shall have the authority to implement emergency procedures to manage the event.
Communication Center Operations. It is the intent of this agreement to work within the current communications center infrastructure, hardware and software to the fullest extent possible. Each center will remain separate entities and as approved, will implement BVFC initiatives, policies and procedures as defined in Article #3.
