The Occupational Health and Safety Committee may use the resources of the Workers' Compensation Board and/or the Health Care Occupational Health and Safety Agency to provide information to the Committee members in relation to their role and responsibilities. The Committee will assist in increasing the awareness of all staff on such topics as: workplace safety, safe lifting techniques, dealing with aggressive clients/residents, WHMIS and the role and function of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee. The Committee will assist in fostering knowledge and compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations by all staff.
