Common use of COMPENSATION CERTIFICATION Clause in Contracts

COMPENSATION CERTIFICATION. In accordance with California Labor Code Section 1861, by signing this Contract, Contractor acknowledges and represents that Contractor is aware of the provisions of Section 3700 of the California Labor Code which requires every employer to be insured against liability for workers' compensation or to undertake self-insurance in accordance with the provisions of that code, and that Contractor will comply with the provisions of the Labor Code before commencing performance under this Contract.

In accordance with California Labor Code Section 1861, by signing this Contract, Contractor acknowledges warrants and represents that Contractor he is aware of the provisions of Section 3700 of the California Labor Code which requires require every employer to be insured against liability for workers' workers compensation or to undertake self-insurance in accordance with the provisions of that code, and that Contractor will comply with Code. Pursuant to the provisions of California Civil Code sections 1860, 1861, and prior to commencement of work, the Labor Code before commencing performance under this ContractContractor shall sign and file with the City Project Administrator a certification in the form prescribed in section 1861.
