Common use of COMPENSATION / COMMISSION Clause in Contracts

COMPENSATION / COMMISSION. An employee who is a participant in a rehabilitation program administered and approved by the Maryland Association of Boards of Education (XXXX) Workers’ Compensation Group Self-Insurance Fund may be given an extension of benefits by the Assistant Superintendent of Fiscal Services or his or her designee. No part of such absence will be charged to the employee’s sick leave if approved. Such personal-injury leaves will not exceed twenty-four (24) calendar months, and will cease when the period covered by Workers’ Compensation has expired. During the period of the non-compensatory leave of absence, the employee shall retain their Workers’ Compensation check, yet be responsible for their health insurance contribution by separate arrangement with the Board.
