COMPENSATION TIME OFF. Two (2) compensation time banks are established: ▪ Compensation Bank No. 1: This bank provides for the accrual of 80 hours of compensation time to be paid out only upon separation from this Association. The first 80 hours of compensation time earned by an employee are recorded in this account. No annual buy back of this time is provided.
COMPENSATION TIME OFF. Compensating Time Off (CTO) may be granted for services performed outside regular working hours in lieu of overtime pay and in accordance with applicable State and Federal Laws, and at the discretion of the Fire Chief/Administrator. Compensating Time Off (CTO) will be accrued in accordance with the following: A. All CTO requests must be in writing and approved, if possible, prior to the employee performing any qualifying assignment. B. CTO may be accrued to a maximum of one hundred forty-four (144) hours. C. Requests for CTO shall be in accordance with the RHFPD’s VACATION GUIDELINES. D. CTO can only be taken in four (4) hour increments or more. E. CTO shall be accrued at a rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) the employee’s base regular rate of pay. F. The same procedures applicable to vacation buy back in Section 5.2 shall apply to cash out of employee’s accumulated CTO.
COMPENSATION TIME OFF. Employees who have worked over eighty (80) hours in a biweekly pay period/full pay period, shall have the option to receive Compensating Time Off (CTO) or pay for that time over eighty (80) hours on a one and a half times (1.5x) basis. The employee’s choice must be made prior to the point that time sheets are turned into DCSO’s administration. There shall be no restriction to the number of hours an employee can accumulate in the employee’s CTO bank during a full pay period.
