  • Claims for Additional Costs 11.3.1 If the Contractor wishes to make a claim for an increase in the Contract Sum not related to a requested change, it shall give the Owner and the A/E written notice thereof within twenty-one (21) days after the occurrence of the event giving rise to such claim, but, in any case before proceeding to execute the work considered to give rise to the additional cost or time, except in an emergency endangering life or property in which case the Contractor shall act in accordance with Article 7.2.1.
