Common use of Compliance with Corruption Laws Clause in Contracts

Compliance with Corruption Laws. The Lessor is subject to and complies with the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977 (as amended). The Lessee represents, warrants, and covenants that it has not made or agreed to make any contributions, payments, or gifts of money or anything of value to any governmental official, employee, or agent where either the payment or the purpose of such contribution, payment, or gift was or is illegal under the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977 (as amended) or any comparable laws in other countries which are applicable to the Lessee (collectively, “Corruption Laws”). Further, the Lessee has not established or maintained any unrecorded fund or asset or made any false or artificial entries on any of its books or records in violation of Corruption Laws.
