Common use of Compliance with Laws; Export Clause in Contracts

Compliance with Laws; Export. Adopter will comply with all applicable rules and regulations of the United States, Japan and other countries and jurisdictions, including those relating to the export or re-export of commodities, software and technical data insofar as they relate to the activities under this Agreement. Adopter agrees that commodities, software and technical data provided under this Agreement are subject to restrictions under the export control laws and regulations of the United States, Japan and other countries and jurisdictions, as applicable, including but not limited to the U.S. Export Administration Act and the U.S. Export Administration Regulations and the Japanese Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Law, and shall obtain any approval required under such laws and regulations whenever it is necessary for such export or re- export.
