Concrete Finishes Sample Clauses

Concrete Finishes. Concrete finishes shall comply with the performance requirements as stated in Book 2.
Concrete Finishes. Screed off the excess concrete to bring the top surface to proper contour and elevations. Tamp sufficiently with a grid type metal tamper to eliminate voids and bring sufficient mortar and fines to the surface to produce desired finish. Float the surface to true plane as follows: 1. Type C-1: Interior Floor Finish: Use a power trowel after floating for the first steel troweling. Execute the following steel troweling by hand as necessary to ensure a true, smooth, dense, level surface free from ripples, trowel marks, and cat faces. If, upon completion of the Work, unevenness or imperfections are present, use a power grinder to grind the slab smooth at no additional cost to the owner. 2. Provide surface flatness of maximum 1/4 inch in 10 feet (Class B tolerance) unless otherwise required by drawings or elsewhere in these specifications. 3. Type C-2: Exposed Curbs, Walls, and Bulkheads: Point exposed finish concrete surfaces, fill all voids or pockets, and sack finish as required to uniform texture with nibs and other irregularities removed. Where necessary, grind concrete surface to true planes, cut high areas and fill low areas. 4. Steel trowel surfaces, which will receive resilient flooring or ceramic tile.
