Common use of CONSIDERATION IN SETTLEMENT Clause in Contracts

CONSIDERATION IN SETTLEMENT. The consideration provided to you under this Agreement is not required under the Employer's policies or otherwise, except as expressly noted, and you acknowledge that you know of no circumstances other than you agreeing to the terms of this Agreement which would require the Employer to provide such consideration. You acknowledge that no representations of any kind have been made by the Employer to induce your execution of this Agreement and that the only representations made to you in order to obtain your consent to this Agreement are as stated herein. The fact that the Employer is offering to make these payments to you on these terms and conditions imposes no obligation whatsoever on the Employer or the Company to offer to pay any amounts to any employee whose employment is terminated with the Employer or the Company now or in the future.
