Common use of Considerations when Reporting Prescription Drugs to Law Enforcement Clause in Contracts

Considerations when Reporting Prescription Drugs to Law Enforcement. While possession of a CDS or related paraphernalia and distribution activities regarding CDS are required to be reported to law enforcement (see Article 3.2), students may also misuse or be in possession of prescription drugs that are not CDS. Possession or misuse of any drug should be deemed to be a serious matter that should be handled in accordance with the district board of education’s approved student code of conduct and any other applicable policies and procedures. Non-CDS prescription drugs are not required by New Jersey law to be reported to law enforcement, but may be required under district policy or procedure to be reported to law enforcement in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement.
