Common use of Construction Documents Clause in Contracts

Construction Documents. The Owner/Lessor shall submit to the Michigan Department of State three (3) sets of complete construction drawings, for review and approval. While the approved drawings and specifications will become a part of the Lease, in the event there is a discrepancy between these outline specifications in the Lease, and the approved construction drawings, these outline specifications in the written lease document shall prevail. The construction documents shall be approved by the Michigan Department of State before remodeling or new construction is started. Approval of these documents does not waive the Owner/Lessor’s responsibility to comply with the provisions of the Lease and outline specifications. Construction specifications shall follow the AIA/CSI format and shall provide details and data not provided in the outline specifications.
