Common use of Continuation of Charter Period Clause in Contracts

Continuation of Charter Period. The Charterer shall continue to pay charterhire under the Charter on the days and in the amounts required under the Charter notwithstanding that the Ship shall become a Total Loss or that the Charterer shall be permanently deprived of her use for any other reason prior to the end of the Charter Period, provided that no further instalments of charterhire shall become due and payable on any date after the earlier of the expiry of the period for the prepayment of the Loan specified in clause 4.3 of the Loan Agreement or the date upon which the Loan is prepaid in full in accordance with clauses 4.3 and 4.5 of the Loan Agreement.
