The contract operator shall undertake petroleum operations in an efficient manner which minimizes costs and in a manner in accordance with the provisions of the production sharing contract. Costs incurred by the contract operator in undertaking petroleum operations shall not include any component of profit which accrues to the contract operator solely by virtue of its role as contract operator. All communications on matters related to the contract shall be effected between the contract operator and the Joint Authority. The contract operator shall establish an office in either the Republic of Indonesia or Australia.
