Contract or Piece Work Clause Samples
The 'Contract or Piece Work' clause defines the terms under which compensation is based on the completion of specific tasks or units of work, rather than on time worked. In practice, this means that workers are paid a set amount for each item produced or task completed, regardless of the hours spent. This clause is commonly used in industries such as manufacturing or agriculture, where output can be easily measured. Its core function is to incentivize productivity and provide a clear, output-based method of compensation, ensuring both parties understand how payment is determined.
