Common use of CONTRACTOR’S LICENSING LAW Clause in Contracts

CONTRACTOR’S LICENSING LAW. Subcontractor represents that it holds, and represents and covenants that at all times during the performance of its work under this Agreement Subcontractor will maintain, a valid, current and active California contractor’s license appropriate for Subcontractor’s work. Subcontractor further represents that each of its subcontractors holds, and represents and covenants that, at all times during the performance of its work, each of its subcontractors will maintain a valid, current and active California contractor’s license appropriate for its work. The failure of Subcontractor or any of its subcontractors to maintain a valid, current and active California contractor’s license at all times during the performance of its work shall constitute a material breach of this Agreement. CONTRACTORS ARE REQUIRED BY LAW TO BE LICENSED AND REGULATED BY THE CONTRACTOR’S STATE LICENSING BOARD WHICH HAS JURISDICTION TO INVESTIGATE COMPLAINTS AGAINST CONTRACTORS IF A COMPLAINT REGARDING A PATENT ACT OR OMISSION IS FILED WITHIN FOUR YEARS OF THE DATE OF THE ALLEGED VIOLATION. A COMPLAINT REGARDING A LATENT ACT OR OMISSION PERTAINING TO STRUCTURAL DEFECTS MUST BE FILED WITHIN 10 YEARS OF THE DATE OF THE ALLEGED VIOLATION. ANY QUESTIONS CONCERNING A CONTRACTOR MAY BE REFERRED TO THE REGISTRAR, CONTRACTOR’S STATE LICENSE BOARD, X.X. XXX 00000, XXXXXXXXXX, XXXXXXXXXX 00000. ADDENDUM A
