Contractor’s Release. A document or language within a document such as an Application for Progress Payment or Application for Final Payment wherein the Contractor agrees to release and discharge County and the CEI or A/E from all claims and demands related to a designated portion of the Work, except any claims for retainage or disputed claims, upon receipt of payment from the County.

Contractor’s Release. 13.11.1 The acceptance of Final Payment by the Contractor shall constitute a waiver of all claims by the Contractor against the Authority and the Design Consultant, except those expressly reserved by the Contractor in writing at the time of Final Payment. Such reservation of rights shall state the specific amounts of the claims being reserved and the bases for such claims. Failure to state the specific amount of a claim shall result in a waiver of that claim. The Contractor shall be deemed to have waived all claims for which the notices required by law and the Contract Documents have not been provided.
