Common use of Contracts for Differences Clause in Contracts

Contracts for Differences. Certain futures, forward or option contracts can also be referred to as a "contract for differences" -- for example, a forward relating to an equity index. However, these contracts can only be settled in cash. Investing in a contract for difference carries the same risks as investing in a futures contract, forward or an option, and the Customer should be aware of these as set out in the respective sections of this risk disclosure statement above. Transactions in contracts for differences may have margin requirements and the Customer should be aware of the implications of this as set out in the section below entitled "Margin and Leveraged Transactions".
