Common use of Control of Well Clause in Contracts

Control of Well. The policy shall cover the cost of controlling a well that is out of control, re-drilling or restoration expenses, seepage and pollution damage as first party recovery for Lessee and related expenses, including, but not limited to, loss of equipment, experts and, evacuation of residents. $ 5,000,000 per occurrence/no aggregate, if available, otherwise an aggregate of ten (10) million dollars. $ 500,000 Sub-limit endorsement may be added for damage to property for which Lessee has care, custody and control.
