Controlled Standby Time. Controlled Standby time is any time in which an employee who the Sheriff or designee requires the employee to remain available to respond to calls for service, assist other deputies and/or cannot use the time effectively for the employees own purpose, will be compensated at the rate of $2.50 per hour for each hour period of controlled standby time.
