Common use of County May Stop the Work Clause in Contracts

County May Stop the Work. If the Work in any respect fails to comply with the Contract Documents, or is causing unsafe conditions, in the opinion of the County, or Contractor fails to supply sufficient skilled workers or suitable materials or equipment, or if Contractor fails to make prompt payments to subcontractors or for labor, materials or equipment, County may order Contractor to stop the Work, or any portion thereof, until the cause for such order has been eliminated; however, this right of County to stop the Work shall not give rise to any duty on the part of County to exercise this right for the benefit of Contractor or any other party.
