Common use of County Transfer Fee Clause in Contracts

County Transfer Fee. Upon closing, the seller shall pay a County Transfer Fee to the County in an amount equal to 1% of the sales price. If the fee imposed by this Section 4.2 is not paid when due, then the fee, all costs of collection of the fee, and interest on the unpaid balance at a rate of 8% per year or at the statutory interest rate in C.R.S. § 5-12-102, as amended, whichever is less, shall constitute a perpetual lien on the Subject Property. The County may foreclose this lien in the same manner as property tax liens of the County.
