Common use of Covered Or Concealed Work Clause in Contracts

Covered Or Concealed Work. If a portion of the Work has been covered, the DB shall, if notified to do so by the Owner, uncover the designated portion for observation and then replace it. 8.2.1 If the designated portion of the Work was covered contrary to the request of the Owner, or to requirements specifically expressed in the Construction Documents, the DB shall receive no additional compensation for the costs of uncovering and replacement or modification of the Construction Schedule. 8.2.2 If the designated portion of the Work was covered prior to a specific request by the Owner that it remain uncovered, the DB shall receive additional compensation for the costs of uncovering and replacement or modification of the Construction Schedule(s) only if the designated portion of the Work was in conformance with the Construction Documents.
