Common use of Covered Or Concealed Work Clause in Contracts

Covered Or Concealed Work. If a portion of the Work has been covered, the Contractor shall, if notified to do so by the Owner’s Project Representative or a Professional, uncover the designated portion for observation and then replace it. 8.2.1 If the designated portion of the Work was covered contrary to the request of the Owner’s Project Representative or the Professional, or to requirements specifically expressed in the Construction Documents, the Contractor shall receive no additional compensation for the costs of uncovering and replacement or modification of the Construction Schedule. 8.2.2 If the designated portion of the Work was covered prior to a specific request by the Owner’s Project Representative or the Professional that it remain uncovered, the Contractor shall receive additional compensation for the costs of uncovering and replacement or modification of the Construction Schedule(s) only if the designated portion of the Work was in conformance with the Construction Documents.
