Customs Documentation and Valuations Sample Clauses
The Customs Documentation and Valuations clause establishes the responsibilities of the parties regarding the preparation, accuracy, and submission of documents required for customs clearance, as well as the determination of the value of goods for import or export purposes. Typically, this clause specifies which party must provide invoices, certificates of origin, and other necessary paperwork, and may outline the method for valuing goods, such as using the transaction value or another agreed standard. Its core function is to ensure compliance with customs regulations, prevent delays at borders, and allocate the risk of errors or omissions in documentation between the parties.
