Damage Caused by Students. Students are responsible for the Chromebooks they have been issued. If a Chromebook is damaged by a student, they must pay the costs as follows: Missing keys $10/key AC Adapter broken or missing $40 Battery $40 Touchpad $40 Damaged Shell $85 Broken Screen $100 Motherboard $100 Replacement computer $300 Case $30 Hinges $10 If damage is caused by a student, the student and parent will be sent a bill for repairs. The student will be ineligible for athletics, clubs, fields trips, off campus trips, dances, report cars, release of records for school transfers and graduation until the repairs are paid for. Students are responsible for their Chromebooks at all times. Therefore – it will not be acceptable excuse for a student to claim another did damage to their Chromebook. A student is solely responsible for what happens to their Chromebook.
