Day Minimum Notice. Any employee whose position is to be eliminated due to lack of funds shall be notified, in writing, with as much advance notice as possible but not less than sixty (60) days prior to the effective date of the layoff, with the exception that if a special grant is unexpectedly terminated, the City shall provide not less than thirty (30) days’ notice prior to the effective date of layoff. The Union shall receive copies of any layoff notice.
