DBE Manufacturer Sample Clauses

The DBE Manufacturer clause defines the requirements and qualifications for a manufacturer to be recognized as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) within the context of a contract or procurement process. Typically, this clause outlines the criteria a manufacturer must meet, such as producing goods at their own facility and being certified as a DBE by the relevant authority. For example, it may specify that only manufacturers who transform raw materials into finished products and hold valid DBE certification are eligible for certain contract credits or participation goals. The core function of this clause is to ensure that only genuinely qualified DBE manufacturers are counted toward DBE participation targets, thereby promoting fair competition and preventing misuse of DBE status.
