Common use of Death During Severance Period Clause in Contracts

Death During Severance Period. Subject to Section 4.1, in the event of the Executive’s death during the Severance Period, payments of the Severance Payment shall continue to be made during the remainder of the Severance Period, and any unpaid bonus payments under Section 5.1.1(c) shall be paid on the terms set forth therein, to the beneficiary designated in writing for this purpose by the Executive or, if no such beneficiary is specifically designated, to the Executive’s estate. Except as otherwise required by law, the provision of Severance Benefits by the Company shall end on the date of the Executive’s death.
