Common use of Debts Owed to the State Clause in Contracts

Debts Owed to the State. If the PERFORMING PARTY owes any amount(s) to the State of Texas, any payments, or other amounts the PERFORMING PARTY is otherwise owed under the contract or grant, may be held or may be applied toward any debt the PERFORMING PARTY owes the State of Texas until the debt is paid in full. These provisions are effective at any time the PERFORMING PARTY owes such debt or delinquency.
