Decomposer. The entries that are not in the dictionary need to be further analysed, in order to reduce the amount on unknown types. As composition is one of the new word formation processes in German, a decomposer component is used to analyse unknown words, and copy all relevant linguistic information from the head of the compound. The decomposer is part of the lemmatizer; however, it can also be used as a stand-alone tool, the input being a list of words.
